Transparency Act

June 17, 2024

Introduction

The Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven) came into effect on July 1, 2022. Dignity Collective is subject to this law due to its size. The law involves two key elements: 1) the company must conduct due diligence according to OECD guidelines, and 2) the company is obligated to provide accurate information upon request.

Guidelines and Procedures

Dignity Collective’s ethical guidelines are based on the UN Global Compact, covering fundamental social and human rights, environmental responsibility, and anti-corruption. These guidelines must be communicated to the board, employees, suppliers, and business partners.

If Dignity Collective receives inquiries about disclosing information in accordance with the Transparency Act, it will be handled by the Sustainability Manager. The process should be consistent, documented, and traceable.

The board is responsible for ensuring compliance with these procedures. Violations are subject to board review. After due diligence assessments are completed, necessary follow-up will occur, with semi-annual reporting.

Relevant Follow-up Activities May Include:

• Requesting documentation

• Encouraging activities to follow up with suppliers, such as self-reporting, improvement projects, or inspections

• Conducting closer monitoring of suppliers sourcing from countries with high scores in the ITUC and Corruption Perception Index

• Encouraging all suppliers to have an environmental strategy with a clear action plan to improve their environmental impact.
